Every morning I will wake up feeling thankful. Not because life is perfect but because I’ve decided to take the time to count my blessings and give thanks to God.

Dear Lord, thank You for the blessings You have bestowed — continue to help me notice them.

I thank The Lord for giving us the day and the night, and the stars that twinkle in the sky. I am also grateful for the Light of the World and the eternal life that You brings.

I am thankful for the bond of family — that there are people who know me fully, and love me anyway. And I am grateful for the family of God to which I am bonded through Christ.

I am thankful for the various friends in my life — both far and near — who enrich me, challenge me, lend me their ear, pray for me and make me laugh. And I am especially grateful for the friendship of God.

I am thankful for the blessing of music and its ability to lift my mood, touch my heart, energize my body and connect my soul to an eternal God.

I am thankful for God’s provision of food.

I am thankful my parents and I have work to return to.

I am thankful my nephew is able to enjoy a day of play at home, and thankful he has days of learning ahead that will help shape him into who God intends him to be.

Ohh.. and I am thankful that The Lord has blessed me with a partner. Someone who makes a healthy foundation for my life’s adventures. Someone to support me in times of need, to challenge me to grow, to celebrate with me in times of victory and most importantly, be with me whether time’s good or bad, happy or sad :)
